Nonviolent Communication for Deeper Intimacy
Nonviolent Communication (otherwise known as Compassionate Communication) is taught all around the world. It’s a proven system for communicating in a way that builds and deepens connection in intimate relationships, builds trust and respect between parent and child, provides a pathway for resolving conflict. It is useful in any context where connecting and understanding the other and being understood are vital to you.
Understanding your behaviour and actions’ underlying drivers can only improve your capacity to show up more fully as a man, as a lover, a father, and a leader in your community.
We’ll be diving into group and pair work as much as time allows to give you a felt experience of the system.

Alistair McKinnon is a warrior of the heart.
Beginning his career as a professional accountant, the suicide of his father, followed shortly by the death of his eldest brother, shook him to the core. The tragedy became the gift, as he turned inward and opened to a deep sense of compassion for his pain.
He eventually became a personal growth program teacher with a spiritual foundation, teaching parenting, leadership, and a 6-month relationships program.
For the last eight years, he has committed himself to learning and then teaching and coaching people in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and supporting couples unfold a loving connection. He particularly enjoys guiding clients to access the wisdom of their bodies and he is a passionate supporter of the value that men offer when they come together as men in a safe space.
He is a Certified Trainer in Nonviolent Communication, a Certified Focusing Professional (a somatic mindfulness approach to inner experience), and is studying Hakomi Psychotherapy.
