Introduction to Mindfulness Self-Compassion
This workshop will provide education and experiential learning on being compassionate to our selves.
This session will provide some basic understanding of our emotional regulation systems which will give a cognitive understanding of how Kindness to our selves can help in healing.
Through the use of experiential activities participants will consider what they are currently doing and how to start to make some simple changes and to develop a deeper sense of Compassion.
There will also be some reflection on our relationship to Self, Suffering and negative thinking.
Please Have paper, pens, a small piece of fruit and a pillow available.

A member of TasMen since 2007, in various positions within the Committee and Gatherings ranging from Co-Ordinator for the Men With Heart Exhibition, Training Small Group Leaders, being part of the Care Team, Leading Small Group, Designing Content for Gatherings and being Vice Chairman of TasMen.
He has also been a member and participant of a weekly Men’s Circle for seven years.
Professionally Gordon has trained as a Social Worker, and specifically trained in Mindfulness Self-Compassion and Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness.
He has also been involved in conducting Groups and providing Counselling in Drug and Alcohol Services and Private and Community Mental Health Units.
